SOFTBALL:Immaculate Conception runs into a playoff wall in MKA

CALDWELL – Just
making the state tournament was a championship-like feat in itself
for the Immaculate Conception. Rallying around head coach Jeff
Horohonich, who made it back for softball season after undergoing
quadruple-bypass surgery over the winter, the Blue Wolves achieved
both of their preseason goals by qualifying for both the Bergen
County and Non-Public North B state tournaments. After strong
starts in two consecutive state tournament upsets, the Blue Wolves
found themselves reaching for a goal that appeared completely
