HALEDON -- The Eastern Christian girls basketball has not been
to a section final since the early 1980s and has never been to
one since parochial schools were split from the publics and moved
into their own brackets.
But
that changed on Saturday when the Eagles made up a double digit
second half deficit and pulled out a 40-38 upset of Paterson Catholic,
a team that had beaten EC three times during the regular season.
Eastern
Christian head coach Steve King joins us here on the Multimedia
Spotlight to talk about his team's accomplishment.
