HACKENSACK
-- Bergen Tech's dynamic duo of Hannah Sparkman and Megan Bosi
combined for 28 points as the 10th-seeded Knights pulled away
from No. 23 Ridgefield Park for a 46-25 win.
Sparkman
scored 12 of Tech's 16 first half points but the Scarlets only
trailed by 7 at halftime. The second half was all Knights, as
Bosi ignited a 15-6 run that put Ridgefield Park in a 31-15 hole
after three quarters.
The
Scarlets defended well but were equally sloppy on offense, committing
33 turnovers and shooting just 8 of 39 from the floor. Gianna
Scerbo led RP with 9 points, while Nicole Santuoso chipped in
8.
Bergen
Tech will take on seventh-seeded Pascack Hills, a 29-16 winner
over Park Ridge on Saturday, next weekend in the Round of 16 of
the BCWCA Tournament.
