PARAMUS
-- Palisades Park scored the first six points of the second half
to take the lead for good on the way to a 57-51 win over Hasbrouck
Heights in the opening round of the Bergen County Jamboree.
After
a slow start, the Tigers, seeded No. 16, forged a 28-all tie at
halftime and were up 39-32 heading into the final quarter before
building a 15-point lead on the way to their 12th win in 13 games
this season. Their reward for the first round victory is a shot
at top-seeded Pascack Hills in next weekend's Round of 16.

Lee Diaz led a balanced Pal Park offense with 15 points and was
joined in double digits by Ive Pavin (14 points) and Aman Kumar
(13 points). Danny Glavin finished with 8 points and 9 rebounds
and Ariel Then had 7 points. Hasbrouck Heights, the No. 17, was
led by Adi Sijaric's game-high 22 points. Tory Lepera added 10
points and Bobby Kistner had 8 for the Aviators, who fell to 10-4
on the season.
