RIDGEFIELD PARK -- The Ridgefield Park boys basketball team held
a comfortable 17-point lead late in the fourth quarter when the
tandem of Amadou Bah and Sandy Burgos stormed back to bring Fort
Lee within three with one minute left to play.
Clutch free-throw shooting and a key basket with less than a
minute to go by David Urbay put Ridgefield Park up for good as
it beat the Bridgemen 61-56 on Tuesday night.
The game was tied at 22 at halftime, but he second half belonged
to the Scarlets as they went on a 10-0 run and never looked back.
Things get tougher for Fort Lee as it hosts one of the best teams
in Bergen County, Queen of Peace, on Friday night at 7:00pm. The
Scarlets will look to continue their winning ways as they play
River Dell, also scheduled for Friday night at 7:00pm.
