BASEBALL:Entertaining 'Cich vs. Cich Classic' goes to Emerson

WOOD-RIDGE – As far as entertainment goes, was no better bang for your buck than the three hours spent on the turf behind Wood-Ridge High School on Saturday afternoon. There were seven innings of entertaining baseball between two solid Group 1 teams, there was seedings for the upcoming Bergen County Tournament on the line, there was father vs. son in the latest edition of what has come to be known as the 'Cich vs. Cich Classic' and there were also some history and science lessons thrown in with numerous references to certain famous religious figures and the male anatomy. It was fun and admittance was free. The game went right down to the wire as Emerson head coach Bob Carcich, who is closing in on 500 wins in his storied career, matched wits with his son, Mike Carcich, who is a generation behind in the win column, but on the right track in building his own program at Wood-Ridge. “It was a lot of fun.
